Pink Tones Live TDSOTM

Pink Tones​  es una banda cover de Pink Floyd, se caracterizan por la cantidad de efectos y parafernalia que utilizan para desarrollar sus temas.

El grupo se formó con la intención de dar la oportunidad a la gente de asistir a un espectáculo en el que se toquen los mejores temas de Pink Floyd, y además no en grandes estadios, sino en sitios pequeños con la comodidad y calidad de sonido que eso conlleva. Para ello los Pink Tones reproducen todos los sonidos que usan los Pink Floyd en sus discos.

Pink Tones, sin embargo, no son un grupo "clónico". Su aspiración no es parecerse físicamente a ellos, ni siquiera hacer las canciones exactamente iguales. Se permiten arreglos como la utilización del Theremin o de variaciones de temas siempre respetando el espíritu original de la canción. También aparecieron en 2011 en el programa "Informe Semanal" de La 1 de TVE.

Brit Floyd is the premiere UK based Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 2010 by Chas Cole, Managing Director of CMP Entertainment, and Damian Darlington, the band's Musical Director. Brit Floyd has toured in the UK and several European countries. The stage presentation, comprising an elaborate light show, projections and inflatables, is loosely based on Pink Floyd's 1994 The Division Bell Tour, often referred to as the "Pulse" tour after the title of the album and DVD of the tour.

History

Brit Floyd was born out of a split in The Australian Pink Floyd Show (TAPFS) in 2010.The split was the outcome of a dispute that some TAPFS directors had with CMP. Three of the four owners of TAPFS appointed new management, resulting in their former management company, CMP Entertainment, together with Damian Darlington, the fourth partner in TAPFS, forming a new band, The British Pink Floyd Show. The name was later shortened to Brit Floyd.Brit Floyd consists of musicians who have all performed with TAPFS, either worldwide or just in North America. All except two members of Brit Floyd played on TAPFS's North American tour in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Damian Darlington is the only musician to have performed in every TAPFS show worldwide from January 1994 through to November 2010, including a performance in March 1996 with TAPFS for David Gilmour at his 50th birthday party in London.

Live Performances

Brit Floyd's first performance was on 22 January 2011 at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, UK to an audience of 6,000 people. The show was filmed for a DVD, which was made available to attendees of the subsequent tour and on request to the band's website. Venues played on the UK tour included London's Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena. In July the band played at the Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Festivals played in 2011 include The Isle of Wight and Glastonbury.

Hoy posteamos a una de las mejores bandas que optaron en su día por seguir el sonido Floyd, ellos comenzaron siendo una banda tributo a Pink Floyd en los años 90, hasta que en el 2000 empezaron a sacar al mercado su propia música, RPWL (son las iniciales de sus componentes)son mis preferidos por delante de Mostly Autumn y Porcupine tree, espero que disfrutéis de estos cuatro temas en directo, uno de ellos de Syd Brrett "OPEL".
