Pink Floyd - 1972-09-22 - Hollywood Bowl

En febrero de 1972, Pink Floyd hizo algo que muy pocas bandas de rock habian hecho, tocaron 4 conciertos para darle a la prensa un adelanto de 45 minutos de nuevo material. Esos 4 espectáculos fueron en el Rainbow Theatre de Londres. Ese conjunto de temas, originalmente titulado Eclipse, comprendería el legendario álbum Dark Side of The Moon. Los conciertos de Rainbow se llevaron a cabo más de un año antes del lanzamiento del álbum, pero las críticas ofrecieron un anticipo de lo que estaba por venir. Michael Wale de The Times describió la pieza como "... que hizo llorar. Derek Jewell de The Sunday Times escribió: "La ambición de la intención artística de Floyd ahora es enorme". También lo sería el éxito de Dark Side of The Moon, ya que el álbum vendería más de 50 millones de copias en todo el mundo y permanecería en las listas de Billboard, en los EE. tocaron en más de 90 shows ese año, cada uno de los cuales mostraron una vista previa de la obra maestra que pronto se lanzaria. Esta excelente grabación de audiencia los captura en Hollywood el 22 de septiembre de 1972.
